Celebrating Love in Midcoast Maine

Love stories have a way of bringing people together in the most unexpected ways. Such is the case with Rebecca and DJ, a Washington DC couple who found their forever after meeting as wedding attendees for mutual friends. Those friends, who happened to share in Rebecca and DJ’s day as their wedding officiants under their custom designed chuppah from Midcoast Blooms.

Their journey led them to the picturesque coastal town of Rockport, Maine, where Rebecca’s mom had relocated, and DJ proposed. From there, Rockport became a certain inclusion in their wedding day. They exchanged Jewish nuptials surrounded by family, friends, and their furry companion, Penny, with the harbor just down the hill.

Every great celebration needs an incredible soundtrack, and Rebecca and DJ’s wedding was no exception. They chose the band Champagne Casanova to serenade their special day. Once the ceremony ended, guests scooped up a charcuterie cup and cocktail and were shuttled to Thomaston, to SaltWater Fields Wedding and Event Barn. Overlooking the picturesque Saint George River, this talented band set the mood with their soulful melodies and infectious energy, ensuring that the dance floor was always alive with love and joy.

A Personal Touch: Table Numbers and Album Covers:
Rebecca and DJ wanted to make their wedding day truly reflective of their lives and the people who mattered most to them. To add a personal touch to their reception, they opted for table numbers that included album covers from various bands significant to their own lives or cherished by their friends and family. This creative choice allowed their guests to share in their love story and reminisce about all the meaningful songs that had shaped their lives.

Every aspect of their wedding day was infused with personal touches and a genuine sense of joy. Their love, along with the music, laughter, and moments shared, will forever be etched in the memories of their loved ones. The midcoast, with its endless charm, became the idyllic setting for their beautiful celebration—a love story that will continue to inspire those who had the honor of witnessing it.
